Week 11/12: Thanksgiving Special – The New York Giants barely survive the Atlanta Falcons in OT, 34-31

In this Week 11/12 THANKSGIVING SPECIAL, we add even more to your feast by giving you a healthy DOUBLE-SERVING of “The NYGMen Podcast.” Greg and Dan get into the Thanksgiving spirit by giving thanks to a couple of fans, awarding them with the distinction of THE NYGMEN PODCAST’S HAKEEM NICKS “YOU ARE THE MAN” FAVORITE FAN OF THE WEEK. Greg and Dan also yap about Mike Francesa and his apparent utter distaste for struggling Jets’ QB Mark Sanchez. The two lament Tiki’s getting booed at Giants Stadium, discuss concussions in the NFL and Roger Goodell’s role in the matter, and deconstruct television commercials. Dan also points out how Jimmy Fallon revived the Madden curse that has been keeping Troy Polamalu down. As always, Greg and Dan pick their top 5 NFL teams after week 11, the hottest team in the NFC and AFC respectively, the scariest team in the NFC and AFC respectively, and week 11’s “Beast of the East.” They even do a brief preview on Thursday’s game against the Denver Broncos in the Mile High City. And who was awarded The NYGMen Podcast’s Week 11 T—-n C—-m “Breaking” play of the game? All of this and, believe it or not, a whole lot more on this ALL-AMERICAN-SIZED portion of “The NYGMen Podcast.” BON APPETIT!!!

Week 11 PREVIEW: It’s DO OR DIE for the New York Giants, who play host to the Atlanta Falcons

In this Week 11 Preview podcast, Greg and Dan discuss this weekend’s DO OR DIE game against the Atlanta Falcons with Atlanta’s own COUSIN MICHAEL. In addition to analyzing what the Falcons may have in store for the Giants, the three still feel compelled to talk about the infamous Bill Belichick Sunday night gamble against the Colts as well as Brett Favre’s being mike’d up on this past week’s episode of “Inside the NFL.” Greg and Dan talk at length about the current cast of “Inside the NFL,” including Warren Sapp’s unadulterated gregariousness, how competitive Cris Collinsworth and Phil Simms must be with one another, and JB’s Harvard pedigree. Dan also goes off on pocket squares and shares some more tidbits of information about last week’s Jets’ experience with Greg. If the GMen don’t show up on Sunday, kiss their season goodbye. DON’T MISS THE PREVIEW OF WHAT MIGHT BE THE MOST CRUCIAL REGULAR SEASON GAME IN RECENT MEMORY!!!

In so doing, they laud the admirable character of Colonel Tom Coughlin, briefly discuss “The Sanchise,” and Dan recounts his first ever experience at a Jets’ game. Greg and Dan also go through a midseason review of the GMen, air their feelings about the tragic figure named PLAXICO, offer a quick update on LT’s legal woes (our LT, that is), and talk about Bill Belichick’s 4th down gamble at the end of Sunday night’s Patriots/Colts game. As always, Greg and Dan call their top 5 NFL teams after week 10, the hottest team in the NFC and AFC respectively, the scariest team in the NFC and AFC respectively, and week 10’s “Beast of the East.” GET PSYCHED, THE GMEN ARE BACK!!!

Week 9: The Chargers devastate the Giants 21-20

In this Week 9 BONUS length post-game podcast, Greg and Dan attempt to pick up the pieces after the Giants’ heartbreaking last minute loss to the Chargers. In spite of the doom and gloom, Greg and Dan still try to lighten the mood by pondering the apparent absense of Tiki Barber in the hearts of the GMen faithful, bemoan the Giants Stadium “propaganda machine,” poke fun at Mike Francesa, compare Eli Manning to former New York state governor George Pataki, examine the superficial overlap between a “type” of San Diego girl and a “type” of Jersey girl, make more fun of Mike Francesa, and award Chris Snee with a very SPECIAL distinction (which will be come an NYGMen Podcast weekly tradition). Also, Greg and Dan call their top 5 NFL teams after week 9, the hottest team in the NFC and AFC respectively, the scariest team in the NFC and AFC respectively, and week 9’s “Beast of the East.” It was a tough loss, so let Greg and Dan help you cope. Week 9 PREVIEW: San Diego Chargers vs. New York Giants

In this Week 9 Preview podcast, Greg and Dan look towards the Chargers’ visit to Giants Stadium with trepidation. Nonetheless, their concern neither prevents them from figuring out which jersey Dan should wear to the game nor ridiculing Tila Tequila for her clownish skankiness. Also, thanks to unexpected technical difficulties, The NYGMen Podcast welcomes very special (and unanticipated) guest WILD WILL to help Dan complete the Giants/Chargers pregame analysis, while also finding some time to mock “Avatar,” Smirnoff Ice, and Kanye West. ENJOY!!
