NFC/AFC Championship Weekend REVIEW

In this NFC/AFC CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND REVIEW, unfortunately released a week late, Dan and Greg discuss some of the then noteworthy sports headlines such as PAUL SHIRLEY’s insensitive remarks relating to Haiti, TIM TEBOW’s controversial Super Bowl ad to be aired by CBS, and GREG ODEN’s embarrassing (or impressive?) photos on the internet. Of course, the two also get into the Indianapolis Colts decisive defeat of the cinderella New York Jets. To discuss the Minnesota Vikings’ debacle against the New Orleans Saints, Dan and Greg have the NYGMen Podcast’s resident Vikings’ fan/expert J-LA, commiserating with him over what was, objectively speaking, an awful loss. The three even touch on steroids and concussions. And FINALLY, after managing to skirt the issue for some time, Dan and Greg get into the G-Men for a little bit.

Finally!!!

Finally!!!

Whats up fellas. i was just pondering a question that i was thinking about after hearing about bill cowher’s interview with plaxico burress. when he is relesased from jail next year, would u guys like to see the giants give him another chance? before all the fans still scarred from 2008 lets consider the positives:

1st: he’ll be cheap. obviously having no leverage he would have to sign for somewhere close to the veteran minimum.

2nd: he’s knows the offensive system. no taking time to learn a new offense or build a repoire with the quarterback. most of his teammates would (should) still be on the team from when he was cut.

3rd: you would have to think his days of being a knucklehead would be over. no more showing up late for meetings or missing treatments. he needs to make back all that money he lossed so he should be on his best behavior.

4th: the hope that he should still be able to play. unlike mike vick, plax’s game was not predicated on speed. he was a big physical presence on the field. last i checked he’s still 6’5″ and there is no doubt he can handle playing in new york.

i know there are alot of fans who will never forgive him for killing the giants’ chance of a repeat, but this guy isnt bill buckner. we won with him. we won BECAUSE of him. we dont get to that super bowl without him. there was never any guarantee the giants repeat with plax but we all know there is no chance of winning without him.

the giants are 9-12 since cutting burress. he was a difference maker. what do you guys think?
